About Capstone Delivery

Capstone is owned and operated by a leading female social entrepreneur. Katia Daher-Anenberg immigrated from Lebanon when she was 19 years old. She spoke very little English when she arrived in the U.S., but quickly went to work at her local mall in Los Angeles to support herself and her family. As she acquired language skills, Katia enrolled at Santa Monica City College and eventually transferred to UC Berkeley. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Development from Berkeley, Katia worked in the nonprofit world focusing on housing and issues of equity. After a few years in the nonprofit world, and sensing a business opportunity to bring locally grown and organic produce to neighborhood schools , Katia co-founded a produce distribution company. In time, Katia became an expert in cold-chain logistics, team building, and customer service. As a result, her company expanded beyond schools to national customers that included Whole Foods Markets and Chipotle Mexican Grill. After selling the produce distribution company, she was accepted into the Amazon network as a Delivery Service Partner (DSP). As a completely independent company, Katia named her logistics company, Capstone Delivery. Capstone is defined as the crowning achievement - and for Katia that means delivering each and every package to the customer's front door safely, reliably and on time.
